We got a commission for this game table that sits on an existing table. The idea is that you can keep game pieces and dice from falling on the floor and, if you're playing a long game like Axis and Allies or something similar, you can take this off your table and then use it for other things. Mark got to learn some new skills and try out some new techniques for this job. The playing surface is birch plywood and the edges are red oak with a natural/light stain. Mark routed a groove in the edge pieces to slot the bottom into and there are support pieces all along the underneath of the playing surface to keep it from bending. This is a large surface! The whole thing was coated in polyurethane and is smooth to the touch.
