What a year! We developed many new products and did two brand new farmer's markets to broaden our reach to new towns. It was an exciting year, in business and in our family! We write a Christmas letter for our family and friends each year and we are going to share one highlight for each person with you today! Dan: Retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years! He is focusing on farm projects for now and will see what happens in a couple years after things are more settled the way he wants them.
Carrie: Got to go indoor skydiving! She's always wanted to try real skydiving but Dan is not on board so the family gifted her this experience and she LOVED it! So much so that she bought herself another session right after she finished :) Sarah: Took a trip with two of her cousins to Santa Barbara, California. This was a big deal, as it meant flying (which she is not a fan of) and going on a trip with none of her immediate family (something she's never done before, at least to a level like this). She made great memories and is very glad she went. Joe: Is engaged! The wedding is next year and only time will tell if she will be joining the business in some way. Mark: Has been contracted to start teaching classes at The Michigan Folk School. This is where he learned many of the skills and techniques he uses to make our products, so it is very cool that he is being recognized for that skill and being asked to teach others. On the farm, we've completed some construction projects (like the new woodshop) and gotten new animals. In the business, we debuted THIRTEEN new products this year and did five custom jobs. We're already talking about how we want to grow next year and what directions we want to explore. Thank you for your support and joining us on this journey. We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! (We take a break from blogging and Instagram in January. We will be back in February :)
