There are so many ideas for creative ways to use horseshoes but our second foray has been making large numbers. The obvious use for them, and why we created them, is for house addresses, but they can be used for any reason you might want a large, solid number. Where are welded crosses are completely assembled by Joe, these numbers area a collaborative effort. Any numbers that require the part of the shoe to be straight, Mark takes and forges to the proper shape before giving them to back to Joe. Take the number 2, for example. Joe will cut the shoes into pieces, Mark will straighten the sections, and then Joe will weld all the parts together. We offer several options for display. We can mount them on a board (vertically, horizontally, or diagonally), we can weld them to a small steel bar (same directions and this makes them look like they're floating, and we can give them to you as is and you can hang them as you please with whatever attachment method works best for your house. They come in the normal steel look with a clear coat or can be spray painted black and then sealed. These were our first attempt and in the future the letters and numbers in the steel will not be visible. Live and learn :)
