We are very excited to introduce a new product - our welded steel horseshoe crosses! There are a lot of barns and horse-lovers in the area surrounding where we live so it seemed natural to us to find something we could make that would fit that demographic. Mark is the one who found the idea and Joe is the lead on creating these, since they mostly use his skills. These crosses - and anything made out of horseshoes - utilizes a mixture of whole shoes and cut pieces. For this cross, the cut pieces are just a whole shoe cut in half and then flipped inside out. Joe designed a jig to hold all the elements in place for welding and then we apply a clear coat or black spray paint. The clear coat allows the industrial look of the shoes to remain. It just depends on the look that you are going for with your home.
Mark is involved in some of the horseshoe creations when there is straightening of the shoe pieces involved, as with the house numbers. Otherwise, these are all created in our weld shop!. Which cross do you like best? Take a closer look and order yours today!
