Get to know us! We are sharing a few of our favorite things in a variety of categories. See how many of our favorites are also yours!
Book
  • Dan: "The Screwtape Letters" by C.S. Lewis or "Ender's Game" by Orson Scott Card. (No, he has not seen the movie :)
  • Carrie: The "Christian Heroes Then & Now" series by Janet & Geoff Benge.
  • Sarah: This is my least-favorite thing to pick a favorite for because I read SO. MANY. BOOKS! I've always said "The Bronze Bow" by Elizabeth George Speare but now I think it might be "Full Disclosure" by Dee Henderson.
  • Joe: "The Blades of Acktar" series by Tricia Mingerink.
  • Mark: "The Warrior Poet Way" by John Lovell & the "Mistborn" trilogy by Brandon Sanderson.

Movie
  • Carrie: One of my favorites from my childhood is "Annie "(1982) but a more current favorite is "One Night With The King".
  • Sarah: I have three go-to, comfort movies :) "When The Game Stands Tall", "Ice Princess", & "October Baby". Oh, and "Little Women (1994)"!
  • Joe: Impossible to pick a top one but, "The Avengers", "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol", and "How To Train Your Dragon" are all up there.
  • Mark: "The Dark Knight" & "Captain America: Winter Soldier"
  • Dan: "Megamind" or "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy

Season
  • Sarah: Winter. I love snow, comfy sweaters, and I much prefer being cold to being hot.
  • Joe: Fall. I like cold better than hot so going from warm to cool is nice. Also, hoodies!
  • Mark: Fall. It has the nicest weather with the least amount of rain (compared to spring).
  • Dan: Spring.
  • Carrie: Winter. I love the snow and cold weather so that I can wear comfy clothes and curl up in a blanket to read or watch a movie.

Color
  • Joe: Orange & Blue, but deep, vibrant shades.
  • Mark: Black. Or sometimes very, very dark gray :)
  • Dan: Dark Blue
  • Carrie: It kind of depends on the thing but probably purple, dark green, navy blue, or burgundy. I like jewel tones :)
  • Sarah: Purple. You'd never know that by my closet but it is. I'm super picky about my purples and tend to lean toward blue-purples as opposed to red-purples.

Food
  • Mark: Potatoes. In any form. "Boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em in a stew."
  • Dan: Pizza. There are so many ways to make pizza and I like them all!
  • Carrie: Omelettes, salad (but especially a Buddy's antipasto), and smothered grilled chicken.
  • Sarah: I don't really have a favorite meal but my favorite snack is popcorn.
  • Joe: In no particular order, tacos, pizza, and hamburgers.

Place You've Visited
  • Dan: Glacier National Park
  • Carrie: I can't pick between Montana, the Grand Canyon, the Rocky Mountains, & Lake Michigan.
  • Sarah: Oooh this is HARD! It's probably a tie between Lower Antelope Canyon and Mackinac Island.
  • Joe: Also in no particular order, Mackinac Island, the Grand Canyon, and any Great Lake. I don't have a preference. Pick one and stick me in it.
  • Mark: The Grand Canyon and Silver Lake Sand Dunes.

Animal
  • Carrie: Elephants! I like how they are so big but seem so graceful.
  • Sarah: Red Pandas!!!! I want one as a pet. At the very least I want to go somewhere where I can pet one someday.
  • Joe: Real - Siberian Tiger. Fake - Dragon.
  • Mark: Pangolin (because they remind me of tiny dragons :)
  • Dan: Cow. Very useful!

Holiday
  • Sarah: Easter. It is my favorite church service of the year and, in my opinion, has the best music.
  • Joe: Either Labor Day because BOOM, or Christmas because nostalgia. Probably Christmas more.
  • Mark: Independence Day
  • Dan: Easter
  • Carrie: Easter because Jesus wins!
