It is probably past time to give you an update on what is going on around here. We have some exciting updates, for sure! The biggest news is that Dan is retiring from Ford Motor Company at the end of the month! He is going to be shifting to full-time farm work, which means some big projects are in the works this year.
Mark spent several weeks earlier this year jack-hammering out the old milking stalls in the original dairy barn as step one of our barn reorganization and development. One of our big projects is shoring up/restoring the hayloft floor and adding a third level in our barn. The goal is to eventually move our woodshop to what is the current hayloft floor. This will give us more space and allow us to have an insulated space for painting and staining. Joe finished his EMT training and is certified. At some point he will begin fire training and will someday be a firefighter in our area. Don't worry, he still plans to continue with this business too :) Sarah went on a big adventure with two of her cousins to California back in February. It was a large step out of her comfort zone but they had a great time! Things are pretty status quo for Carrie, which she doesn't mind at all :) This summer we will be doing at least two different farmer's markets, each one once a month. We also go our products in a local store, Amelia Mae Boutique. If you want to see things in person, you can go there or come to a market! We took another family vacation to Hocking Hills and this time there were waterfalls!!! It's a beautiful place by itself but the waterfalls take things to another level! If you want to go (and you should), make sure you check the weather to see if it has rained recently. You can also call down there ask about the water status. This month, we went to Indiana to see the total eclipse! It was phenomenal! Life is never dull around here and we will try to keep you updated more regularly on the goings on. We also have several product ideas we hope to launch this year. It's going to be great!
